The Challenge

Sweaty Betty is a global activewear brand with a loyal community and a reputation for premium performance apparel. With ambitious growth goals, the brand targeted improved site performance and an expanded US presence as key strategic drivers.

Sweaty Betty aimed to:

  • Boost performance to support ongoing growth
  • Capture US market share with a peak-season launch
  • Implement PWA Kit in the US as a foundation for a planned six-month global rollout
  • Upskill their SFCC partner, Tryzens, to manage and scale the architecture long-term

They sought a PWA expert who could deliver fast, transfer expertise effectively, and collaborate closely with their internal digital product team to align technology decisions with brand vision.

The 64Labs Solution

64Labs won a competitive bid in partnership with Tryzens to deliver one of the first international full-site launches on SFCC Composable Commerce technology. The project included:

  • Headless Amplience reimplementation to power agile, content-rich experiences
  • Dynamic Yield integration to support personalization at scale
  • Hands-on enablement of Tryzens engineers in the new SFCC PWA architecture
  • Close collaboration with Sweaty Betty’s digital product team to enable their future composable strategy

The US PWA site was launched as an A/B test during peak season. Performance gains were so significant that the test was ended early, with 90% of traffic redirected to the PWA. The project achieved full ROI before the scheduled end of the test period - clear proof of the performance and conversion uplift possible with modern composable frontends.

Why It Matters for eCommerce Leaders

Sweaty Betty’s PWA Kit success shows how a test-and-learn deployment can deliver both rapid insights and early financial returns. By combining first-mover advantage, close vendor collaboration, and a clear enablement strategy, brands can accelerate technology adoption while reducing rollout risk.
