See’s Candies Accelerates Innovation with SFCC Composable Storefront & 64Labs
Tech stack:
The Challenge
See’s Candies, an iconic American chocolatier and Berkshire Hathaway brand, has been delighting customers since 1921. Famous for its role at Warren Buffett’s annual Berkshire Hathaway meetings, See’s is a beloved brand with a reputation for exceptional quality—and a highly loyal customer base.
Operating on an older SiteGenesis site maintained by a small but dedicated SFCC team, See’s had postponed an SFRA migration. By 2024, composable commerce offered a way to leapfrog that upgrade and move directly to a modern, maintainable, and extensible architecture.
Goals included:
The 64Labs Solution
64Labs delivered a full composable storefront on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, integrating Amplience as a headless CMS for agile content creation and delivery.
Key points:
Following launch, See’s engaged 64Labs to continue momentum, extend composable architecture into more areas of its digital presence, and further optimize for performance, scalability, and innovation velocity.
Why It Matters for eCommerce Leaders
See’s Candies’ journey illustrates how legacy SFCC brands can skip incremental upgrades and jump directly into composable commerce—gaining both performance and agility. For teams with strong internal resources, partnering with a composable expert accelerates delivery while laying the groundwork for ongoing innovation.
